Premios Oscar 2018: una noche mágica para Guillermo del Toro

‘The Shape Of Water’ del director mexicano Guillermo del Toro llegó como la gran favorita y se fue como el film triunfador de la edición número 90 de los premios Oscar.

La película original del director mexicano Guillermo del Toro llegó a la noche de la edición 90 de los premios Oscar con 13 nominaciones, ‘The Shape Of Water’, es una película que cautivó al público por completo, mostrando una historia de amor muy atípica pero, sin duda, encantadora.

‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ y ‘Get Out’, tenían las mismas oportunidades de ‘The Shape Of Water’ de irse triunfadoras, pero los monstruos y el ingenio del director mexicano lograron ir más allá conquistando por completo a la Academia.

Es así que Guillermo del Toro y su equipo se llevaron tan solo cuatro galardones, pero entre ellos los dos más importantes: ‘Mejor Película’ y ‘Mejor Director’; además de ellos ‘Mejor Diseño y Producción’ y ‘Mejor Música’.

Por otra parte, la presencia de hispanos parlantes en la premiación fue memorable, y films como ‘Coco’ que básicamente muestra parte de la cultura mexicana, se llevó el galardón como ‘Mejor Película Animada’ y como ‘Mejor Música Original’, un triunfo que se había vaticinado debido al gran éxito que tuvo en taquilla.

Además, Chile también hizo lo suyo en la gala llevándose el galardón a ‘Mejor Película Extranjera’, esto con ‘Una Mujer Fantástica’ de Sebastián Lelio. Es un film en donde se narra la historia de Marina (Daniela Vega), una mujer trans cuyo novio es hospitalizado de emergencia.

‘Una Mujer Fantastica’ compitió con cintas que también obtuvieron grandes criticas como la película libanesa ‘The insult’, la sueca ‘The square’. Rusia por su parte llevaba ‘Loveless’ y Hungría ‘On body and soul’.
