«Spotlight», «The Revenant», «Mad Max: Fury Road» y «The Martian» son algunas de las películas más nombradas en las nominaciones a los Premios Oscar 2016.
«The Revenant» fue la que arrasó en esta primera etapa de la premiación, consiguiendo 12 nominaciones. Esta es otra película del famoso director mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu y que protagoniza Leo DiCaprio.
En cuanto a las estrellas de Hollywood que podrían llevarse a casa una estatuilla, están Leonardo DiCaprio, nominado como Mejor Actor, junto con Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender y Eddie Redmayne. Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson y Jennifer Lawrence compiten en la categoría de Mejor Actriz.
